Basic Step - By - Step:
1. Prep your nails. Push cuticles back, remove any invisible cuticle, lightly buff the nail and apply Prep & Bond formula or Dehydrater.
2. Add your white powder (or whatever colour you are using as you tip) into the french manicure dipping tray. Give the tray a shimmy so the powder is nice and flat.
Have you second colour ready to either do the pour-over method or lay-in method.
3. Apply one thin and even layer of Base liquid to your entire nail. Take care at this stage to slowly get your brush right to all the edges, without touching the skin.
4. Using the edge of the dipping tray to balance your finger, slowly dip your nail into the powder. Adjust the angle in which you go in, to suit the 'smile line' you would like. The smaller the angle, the bigger the smile! Let the tip 'marinate' in the powder for a few seconds. Slowly release it, tilting your nail down so the powder doesn't get onto the upper part of your nail. Tap your finger to release any extra powder. At this stage I personally also like to give it a quick little blow, to blow the extra powder off and away from the remaining nail.
5. Strait away, add your second colour, either by doing the pour-over method, or carefully 'laying' your nail onto the powder. Tap away extra powder.
6. Continue on to do all the rest of your nails. At least 3 layers is recommended.
7. Use the Activator liquid on all nails. The file the edges to round and then smooth over the tops.
8. Go in with your second layer of Activator liquid. Wait at least 60 seconds, the do a quick layer of Glossy Top Coat on all nails. Then, when all your nails have their fist layer of glossy top, go in for your second, more perfected top coat.
